THE DORMHOUSE KING

Synopsis

The Dormhouse King is about Frank, who goes off to learn unreason. Along the way, he finds Recep and music. Frank (24) is a trainee teacher in math and biology. He values solitary experiences in nature more than the company of people. When his girlfriend Luisa is pregnant, he doubts that he is the father. Luisa leaves him. Then Recep (mid-50s) needs Frank's help in an argument with a neighbor. That same evening, Recep shows up unannounced at Frank's door to thank him. Recep is a jazz trumpeter. His past is dominated by political upheavals in Turkey. An impulsive and musical friendship takes its course.
